Attention Lifeguard Service Heads – Invitation to Trial the Surveyor Lifeguard
Earlier this year the Association was successful in obtaining funds from the NSW Department of Primary Industries (Fisheries) Annual Shark Observation Grants Program 2019-20.
Subsequently the Association has purchased two (2) Surveyor Lifeguard Pods for the purpose of conducting on-beach workplace trials at interested NSW coastal Council area locations.
Mr Ken Holloway, Association Life Member and the Australian distributor of Surveyor Lifeguard Towers, has been instrumental in the Lifeguard Pod concept and design process and will be hands-on with transport, installation and making any technical adjustments for the Lifeguard Pods during the trial periods.
There will be no costs to participating NSW coastal Councils apart from a possible fee of $550 to cover exit transport of the Surveyor Lifeguard Pod following a trial period.
Trial periods shall be for no less than 30 days and up to 90 days with a provision to vary the trial period subject to variation of the Agreement For Lifeguard Pod Use entered into between the Association and a participating NSW coastal Council.
